Yutaka Tsutsumi, born in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan in 1951, graduated from Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, in 1976, and completed his PhD in 1982.  He is the certified pathologist, the certified cytologist and the infection control doctor.  He worked for the Department of Pathology, Tokai University School of Medicine, Isehara, Kanagawa, Japan for 21 years, and thereafter for the Department of Pathology, Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Toyoake, Aichi, Japan for 16 years, as a professor.  After retirement, he opened a Diagnostic Pathology Clinic, “Pathos Tsutsumi” (Tsutsumi Byori Shindanka Clinic) initially in Nagoya and now in Inazawa, Aichi, Japan, to listen and talk with patients.  He also works for Yokkaichi Nursing and Medical Care University, Yokkaichi, Mie, Japan, once a week, in order for training young students to get certified as cytoscreeners.  Dr. Tsutsumi is a specialist of diagnostic pathology and infectious disease pathology, and he enjoys to play oboe.
